Win the First Hour
How you start the morning often decides how the whole day feels. Start in a rush — snoozing, scrolling, running late — and the day chases you. Start calmly and on purpose, and you chase the day.

Why mornings matter
In the first hour your mind is fresh and nobody has made demands on you yet. It is the one part of the day most people can actually control. Using even twenty minutes of it well gives you a small win before the world wakes up.
A simple 20-minute morning
- 2 minutes: drink a full glass of water and open a window.
- 5 minutes: move — stretch, walk around the block, a few squats.
- 3 minutes: breathe slowly and notice how you feel, without judging it.
- 5 minutes: write the three most important things for today.
- 5 minutes: read something useful or inspiring.
Don't try to change your whole life tomorrow. Change your first hour, and let it change the rest.
Start the night before
A good morning begins the evening before. Put your phone to charge outside the bedroom, set out tomorrow's clothes and go to bed at the same time each night. Consistent sleep does more for your energy than any coffee.
Five-minute exercise
Write your ideal first hour on a card. Keep it next to your bed. Tomorrow, just do the first two steps. That's all.
