Online Shopping for Beginners: From Search to Checkout

Online shopping is easy once you've done it a couple of times. If you or someone in your family is new to it, this step-by-step guide explains how to shop online for beginners — from the first search to opening your parcel.

Step 1: Create your account

Sign up with your mobile number or email. Choose a strong password and keep your OTPs private. You can turn on extra protection in account security.

Step 2: Search for what you need

Type simple words in the search bar — "cotton bedsheet", "sunscreen spf 50", "kitchen organiser". Use the suggestions that appear.

Step 3: Use filters and sorting

Filters narrow the results:

• Price range
• Customer rating (for example 4★ & above)
• Category and brand
• Delivery options

Sort by "popularity", "price" or "newest" to find what suits you.

Step 4: Read the product page

Check:

• Photos from different angles
• Description and specifications

Step 5: Add to cart (or wishlist)
