Knowing when you get paid makes planning stock much easier. Here's how seller payouts work on ValentiMart.
The life of an order's money
| Stage | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | Order placed or in transit |
| Delivered | Return window running |
| Settled | Return window over — earnings confirmed |
| Available | Ready to withdraw |
| Paid out | Sent to your bank |
The settlement wait is shown on your Earnings page as "day(s) after delivery, if not returned".
What gets deducted
- Commission — the percentage you agreed to at registration
- Shipping charges where applicable
- RTO (return to origin) costs for undelivered parcels
- Payment gateway fees
- Your own coupons — if you offered a discount, it's your cost
Each charge appears under Charges & adjustments, so nothing is hidden.
Requesting a payout
- Open Earnings.
- Check Available for withdrawal.
- Tap Request payout.
- Our finance team processes it to your verified bank account.
Why the balance can be negative
If charges and earlier payouts are higher than your settled earnings (for example after many returns), the page shows an amount owed. It's recovered automatically from your next settled orders.
Improve your cash flow
- Ship faster — earlier delivery means earlier settlement.
- Reduce returns with accurate photos and size charts.
- Avoid RTOs by confirming COD orders and shipping quickly.
- Check the P&L page to see true profit per product.
Common payout mistakes
| Mistake | Better |
|---|---|
| Forgetting your own coupons are your cost | Factor them into pricing |
| Ignoring RTO costs | Confirm COD orders and ship fast |
| Not checking charges | Read Charges & adjustments monthly |
| Bank name mismatch | Use an account in the same name as PAN |
| Planning stock on pending money | Plan on settled and available amounts |
Example
An order sells for ₹1,000. After delivery and the return window, the seller's earnings settle. Commission, shipping and the gateway fee are deducted as listed on the Earnings page, and the rest becomes available to withdraw. If the seller had also funded a ₹50 coupon, that amount is deducted too. Seeing each line makes it easy to set prices that stay profitable.
