1. What we collect
- Account: name, phone, email, password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Orders: delivery addresses, PIN code, map location of the address, order and payment details (card data is handled by the payment aggregator).
- Delivery proof: hand-over codes, parcel photos at pickup / hand-over / delivery, packing and unboxing videos you or the seller upload.
- Delivery partners: live location while online or on a delivery, route history, speed, vehicle, licence and insurance details, bank/UPI details for payouts.
- Sellers: business, GST, PAN, bank and KYC documents.
- Device & usage: IP address, browser, pages visited, security logs.
2. Why we use it (purposes)
- To take, deliver, return and refund orders, and show delivery time estimates.
- To route delivery partners, keep them safe (SOS, weather and traffic alerts) and pay them correctly.
- To prevent fraud and keep the platform secure.
- To meet legal duties: tax (GST, income tax), consumer protection, and lawful requests from authorities.
- With your consent only: marketing messages — you can opt out any time.
3. Your consent and your rights (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023)
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent or for legitimate uses allowed by law (for example, completing an order you placed). You can: get a summary of your data and who it was shared with; correct, complete or update it; ask us to erase it (we keep only what the law requires — for example tax and invoice records); withdraw consent as easily as you gave it; nominate someone to exercise your rights; and complain to us and then to the Data Protection Board of India. 4. Who we share it with
- The seller of your order and the delivery partner(s) carrying it — only what they need (name, delivery address, phone through masked calling where available).
- Courier partners for long-distance delivery; payment aggregators; SMS / email / WhatsApp providers; cloud hosting.
- Government authorities when the law requires it.
- We do not sell your personal data.
5. Location data
Customers: we use the map location of your address to plan delivery. Delivery partners: location is collected only while you are online or carrying an order, to offer nearby orders, show customers their delivery, plan safe routes, detect long stops and confirm deliveries. Road reports you make are shared with other riders without your name.
6. How long we keep it
- Orders, invoices, tax records: 8 years (GST and income-tax law).
- Delivery photos and route history: 180 days, longer only if a dispute is open.
- Security logs: at least 1 year.
- Inactive accounts: we may delete them after 3 years of no use, after notifying you 48 hours in advance.
7. Security & breaches
We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and logs. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
8. Children
Valenti Mart — Online Shopping for Fashion, Electronics & More is not meant for children under 18 without a parent. We do not knowingly track children or show them targeted ads, and we ask for verifiable parental consent where the law requires it.
